Uniology - The Power Of One

Methods Of Uniology ...
While man has practiced the methods of Uniology for thousands of years in various forms, it is our intention to refine and assemble these methods into the science of self-progression. Each is very important in its own right, yet carries into the others in countless ways. Please venture towards your maximum potential by reviewing the methods as listed below:

Inner Peace … The foundation of Uniology, and the most important key to self-progression. With inner peace, the individual can look at all issues of their life with a non-biased approach. It is said that Inner Peace is the mental gyroscope and laughter is the gauge of living.

Physical Energy … The second most important method to achieving your maximum potential. Physical energy supplies you with the capability to pursue self-progression. Exercise can help achieve both Inner Peace in the short term, and physical energy in the long term.

Appreciation ...
Always appreciate what you have. Do not dwell on what you don’t have, unless you use your desire to your advantage in further achievement.

"My riches consist not in the extent of my possessions, but in the fewness of my wants."
-
J. Brotherton

Relationships ... Maintain
strong, loving relationships because they add solidity to your goal of self-progression. Maintain harmony in your business relationships as well. Even if you are not a
"people person", make the best of all relationships

"When I find myself fading, I close my eyes and realize my friends are my energy."
-
Anon

Financial Security
.. While money is not the key to happiness, financial instability can be detrimental to your self-progression. Set short term and long term financial goals.

"This one step -- choosing a goal and sticking to it -- changes everything."
-Scott Reed

Religion
... Whether you believe in a higher spirit, or believe religion is just man’s way of dealing with death, some form of religion aids self-progression. Religion instills morals and values.

"This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness."
-
Dalai Lama

Happiness ... The progression towards an individual's potential. Happiness is man's deepest drive – the need for meaning and purpose in life.

"Happiness is not a destination. It is a method of life."
-
Burton Hills

Knowledge
... Know yourself, and why you react the way you do to.
Never stop educating yourself!

"Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence."
-
Robert Frost

Focus and Commitment ... Devote 100% of your mental and physical strength to what you are doing at that time. Daydream only when you can afford to.

The Past Does Not Equal The Present and Future ...
Learn from your past, but do not let your past negatively affect your present and future. Failed attempts are one step closer to success. This method helps to establish Inner Peace as well.

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us."
-
Hellen Keller

"He who controls the past commands the future. He who commands the future conquers the past."
-
George Orwell

Change Through Association
...
You can make any change in your life. Life issues are either negative, neutral, or positive. Most people live neutral lives, with short term negative or positive issues changing their direction. By viewing long term changes of direction, you can associate enough negativity, or positivity with an issue to change that issue. Don’t settle ... settling gives a quick comfort, but can only cause discomfort later ( short term positive or neutral feeling now, long term negative feeling later).

"Any change, even a change for the better, is always accompanied by drawbacks and discomforts."
-
Arnold Bennett

"Without change, something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken."
-
Frank Herbert

"If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living."
-
Gail Sheehy

Respect ... Remember, you are the most important individual in your life, but realize that others feel the same way about themselves in their lives, and treat them with such respect. Do unto others as you would have done unto you. Always give credit where credit is due. Don’t clip anyone’s wings. The most effective motivational act ... Listening.

"There are countless ways of achieving greatness, but any road to achieving one's maximum potential must be built on a bedrock of respect for the individual, a commitment to excellence, and a rejection of mediocrity."
-
Buck Rodgers
